“This textbook contains material on evolution. Evolution is a theory, not a fact, regarding the origin of living things. This material should be approached with an open mind, studied carefully, and critically considered.” – Emphasis added.

Evolution doesn’t postulate on the origin of life, just the change of / speciation of life over time.

LOL. Yes, of course it’s wrong. :) At the bottom of the page it is taken from (from the Swarthmore College Biology website) is the following message:

In case you’re curious, wording for the first disclaimer (top left) is taken verbatim from the stickerdesigned by Georgia’s Cobb County School District (“A community with a passion for learning”) in Georgia. The school board actually plagiarized Alabama’s evolution disclaimer.

Ahhhh… Didn’t realise the first was the original. Thought it was just a sarcastic sticker or something.
